SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES AT ŻYRAFA KINDERGARTEN:
- daily educational activities in English in each age group;
- bilingual programme based on the immersion method
- two teachers in each group: a Polish-speaking one and an English-speaking one; the latter one communicates with children only in English
- daily educational and art activities based on the Core Curriculum of the Polish Ministry of National Education and programmes recommended by the Ministry (e.g. a method of teaching mathematics by Dr Gruszczyk-Kolczyńska, a glottodidactic method by Prof. Rocławski, a method of global reading, etc.)
- clubs (5 times a week)
- eurhythmics with elements of music therapy (once a week)
- swimming (once a week)
- tennis (once a week)
- chess (once a week)
- dance (once a week)
- theatre workshops (once a week)
- dog therapy (once or twice a month)
- horse riding (once or twice a month)
- trips (once a month)
- concerts of the National Philharmonic Orchestra (once a month)
- theatre festivals
- collaboration with international organisations and exchange of English-speaking teachers
- contact on a daily basis with English-speaking children attending our kindergarten
- visits of interesting people
- open workshops and activities for children and their parents
- periodical events, balls, holidays
- kindergarten festivals (e.g. English song festivals)
- speech therapy activities (free of charge consultation, activities adapted to a child’s needs to be paid for additionally; the activities take place in the kindergarten)
- psychologist support for our staff, children and their parents
